Find Out About Friday - How I Store My Cardstock

One of the questions I get asked alot is how I store my crafting goodies and most often within that about how I store my cardstock and my scraps so for this week's Find Out About Friday I thought I would show you.

I like to have the things I use every time I craft easily to hand, so I can just grab it and use it.  I also need what ever system I use to be simple and quick - I want to spend my time making rather than looking for things.

What I find works best for me is having my cardstock in suspension files, one file for each colour of card.  I keep my scraps and my whole sheets of a colour of card in the same file and have found that this helps me to use the scraps up first.  The suspension files are arranged in colour families.

For a number of years these suspension files have been in a large plastic box which I would drag around the house to where ever I was going to craft!  As you may know I am in the process of getting my craft room set up in my new home and in there I have a proper filing cabinet which makes the files much easier to use :-D  I am stupidly excited about this!  As I moved the files into the cabinet I added a tab to each one with a piece of the colour of the card punched out with the Modern Label Punch - I hope this will make the system even quicker to use.

I hope you found this useful and as the craft room gets finished I will show you more!
