Class Easter Treats with Storybook Friends Stamp Set

I really enjoy spending time with the lovely people who come to my Card Making Classes and from time to time I like to give them a little extra treat at class.  Today I am going to share the treats I made for the people who came on Saturday, our class featured the lovely Storybook Friends Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! and so I used that to decorate the treats as well.
Easter Treats made with the Storybook Friends Stamps and Scallop Top Tag Punch from Stampin' Up! Check out this blog

The little bags were made using the Scallop Top Tag Punch and some Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Papers.  I have also used some Rhinestones and some Smoky Slate Chevron Ribbon to decorate them.  Inside each one sits a little chocolate bunny.

The Storybook Friends Card Class runs again in Leighton Buzzard on 23 April at 7.30pm, if you would like to join us please email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk before the end of the week.  After that our next card making class will be on Saturday 24th May and we will be featuring the fabulous Lacy and Lovely Stamp Set.  You can find full details here.

I have used the Eggstra Spectacular Digital Stamps. I have coloured the sheep using the colouring tool, and then cropped the row of eggs stamp to leave the greeting off.  The background papers are the lovely Watercolor Wonder Digital Papers and I have added a little sparkle with the Digital Glimmer Papers. The daffodils were created layering some flower punches.

Simply Celebrate - Sharing Ideas with my Team

I am really looking forward to today - by the time you read this I will be in Peterborough for our Team Day and I can't wait to see everyone and to share lots of ideas with them!  One of the ways we share ideas is with Swaps - we all make a batch of cards and then swap them with each other. Our theme today is techniques and I wonder what the wonderful creative people in the team come up with.  You can find out more about joining us here or by emailing bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

I decided to showcase Inlaid Embossing and this is the card I came up with.

Inlaid Embossing is a fun way to create a background and here is a close up of the butterflies (what else!) that I have added to the background.

The papers I have used are from the 2012-14 In Color Paper Stack, the Thank You is from Simply Celebrate Stamp Set and the butterflies were made with Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches.

Inlaid Embossing is a technique I have neglected for a while - what techniques have you not used for a while?

Scrapbook Saturday - Bright and Fun Scrapbook Start Point using Watercolor Wonder Papers from Stampin' Up!

Last Saturday I shared a soft and gentle Scrapbook Start Point using the gorgeous Watercolor Wonder Papers from Stampin' Up!, today I am going to show you something entirely different using the same papers.  I love how versatile these papers are and how they adapt to suit your mood!

The bold and bright look is created using a Gumball Green Core'dinations Card Stock as the base, with strips of the Watercolor Wonder Paper placed on an angle.  The Essential Wooden Elements and a punched Elegant Butterfly adorn the page.

This was one of the pages created for the Feeling Crafty Scrapbook Club.  If you would like to join us at our next meeting check out the details here.  If you would like to join us but can't make the meetings then you can join us by post - just email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

Find Out About Friday - How to Make a Bunny Ears Treat Bag, a craft project you could do with kids

For this week's Find Out About Friday I thought I would share an easy Easter Project that is fun to make and fun to receive - you could even get the whole family involved in making them and they would make a great Easter Holiday activity with the kids.   Bunny Ears Treat Bags which you can fill with the Easter Treat of your choice.
How to make a bunny ears treat bag - a craft project you could do with kids
For this project you are going to need a paper bag, I have used the Tag a Bag Gift Bag from Stampin' Up!.  Start by gently folding the bag in half.  Draw this shape on the bag, coming to a point on the outside edge of the bag.
How to make a bunny ears treat bag - a craft project you could do with kids
Keeping the bag gently folded cut along the line so you get this shape when you unfold it.

Punch two large white circles and two smaller dark circles for eyes and a small scallop circle in pink for the nose.  You can find suitable punches here.  Put some thread behind this for whiskers.  Your bag will now look like this.

Fill your bag with your treats (oh go on then, one for the bag, one for you!).  Next take some ribbon and tie it around the bag, just under the cut out ears.  Once you have tied the bag, open out the 'ears' and turn them towards the front.

I hope you will have fun making these treat bags and that you also have fun giving them

Frozen Inspired Birthday Card and a fun Video

I doubt I am the only person with whole groups of friends, both young and old, who love the Disney film Frozen.  In fact one of my lovely talented friends, Amy, has even done a loving parody of one of the songs that I know anyone who has been around children is going to find very funny...

So today's card - a birthday card for one of my Frozen loving friends.

It features snowflakes cut from Silver Glimmer Paper using the Festive Flurry Framelits - one of the products available at a huge discount as part of this week's Weekly Deals. I have also used the coordinating Festive Flurry Stamps, the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set and lots and lots of Rhinestones - you can never have too much bling after all!

I hope you enjoyed Amy's video as well as today's card

Hello, Lovely - Thank you very much

Inspiration can come from anywhere and today I am going to share a card featuring the Thank you sentiment from the Hello, Lovely Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!.  The card was inspired by a very lovely friend of mine, Selene, who shared a lovely card she had made to match some striped wrapping papers.  As soon as I saw her colour blocked background I knew I wanted to take the idea and the colours and make a card of my own and this is what I came up with.
Thank You Card using the Hello Lovely Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! - check out this UK blog for lots of great projects using Stampin' Up! Supplies

Don't you just love the bright colours - they are Real Red, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Gumball Green.  As well as the Hello, Lovely Stamp Set I have used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamps on the Whisper White layer and then embossed it with the Chevron Embossing Folder.

Thank you for the inspiration Selene - and if you want to come and see more ideas and to share your creativity why not pop over to Facebook and join this creative group.

Oh, just before I go - I wanted to remind you to check back tomorrow to find out about the first ever weekly deals from Stampin' Up! in the UK - I can't wait to find out what is on offer!
